Mean Little Mama with the HCRG halo
I found out today on Facebook that the HCRG made WFTDA. That's to say that the Hamilton team, the Hammer City Roller Girls, are now an official Women's Flat Track Derby Association team. Essentially WFTDA (pronounced Woof-duh) is to roller derby like the NHL to hockey or the NFL to football.
This is the second Canadian team to have made it into the big leagues, so to speak, next to Montreal. Since both teams are outside of the states they're also international teams. Aren't we special.
As a side note the photo of Little Mama was taken in Buffalo back in January. I thought it was more interesting than that of a screen grab from facebook.
