24 hours "Montreal smoked meat" no more

There are people that say we're in a recession but it never really sinks in until it affects you personally. Perhaps someone you know got laid off, maybe you you lost a job, or in this case an establishment you went to on a regular basis or just saw open on a regular basis is now closed.

Mel's was one of the only places to get Montreal smoked meat on a 24 hour basis. It's been there as long as I remember until tonight. While walking home from the Roti Palace I noticed the FOR LEASE sign. crud.



"We never close"... until now.
