A Year in Review

BagelHot Year One
Click on photo to see that the image is made up of all the year's blogged images.

Hard to believe but it's been a whole year, as of today, for blogging to BagelHot. I would like to thank all the people that have contributed to the site with their comments and ideas (yes even cupcake). To date there have been 296 posts containing 386 images. One wonders where all this stuff gets stored on the web.

Recently the "Hello" program has become problematic uploading images. Bloggerbot seems to freeze. Has anyone else had this problem? This explains why there is no picture today. It's possible that the blogger guys are doing some maintenance. I'll look into this.

For now Happy New Year.

--- additional notes

As it turns out I can use the image icon in blogger. I forgot to turn the pop-up block option off. Well there you go.

I don't use Hello to upload pictures, but rather the 'Add Image' button that appears at the top of the window when entering in the text. Have you tried that?

I use the "add image" button, but it has magically stopped working for me... hopefully it'll magically start working again soon. It has done this before. There seems to be no rhyme or reason.

Anyway, yay to your blog! Mine is still very tiny, but that's because I have to wait for my Mum to help me with the typing...

Call me a cynic, a pessimist... or whatever... but am I wrong in thinking that your program that makes images using little images (which is cool) is actually cheating? On close observation, it seems that rather than arranging each image based on brightness and colour, it's actually cheating by adjusting the brightness and tinting each image as needed? Maybe I'm wrong... but then again....

BTW, the Beatles were robots.

The software actually has a "cheat" level. It will blend the tile photo with a color taken from the source image, in this case the flamming bagel, up to a certain percentage. The percentage is something you can specific as a user.
